Universal Remote Control has added a pair of remotes to its Network Series.
The MRX-1 network base station receives IR and serial commands from any URC network control, including the top-of-the-line MX-6000, MX-5000 wand remote, and new KP-4000. Each MRX-1 has its own unique MAC address, which allows for correct routing to multiple MRX-1 units throughout the home. It is available for a USD MSRP of $499.
The KP-4000 network keypad ($699) can control A/V devices, energy management products, multi-zone matrixes, computers, the PSX-2 Personal Server, and URC lighting products. Using unique network MAC addressing, multiple KP-4000s and MRX-1 base stations can control a multitude of components.
